I find ribs are wonderful when cooked in a pressure cooker. I put them on a stainless steel insert, with a marinade on the top of the upturned ribs, cook in pressure cooker, and then cover the hot meat with a further dousing of both sides of the ribs with the remaining marinade. Marinade is from tomato paste, a slosh of tomato sauce, brown sugar, crushed garlic and onions (precooked), soy sauce, worcestershire sauce, couple big tablespoons of vinegar, spices of your choice, a little chilli.
