Just a few things -

"ECT will seek shareholder approval
for this placement at a general meeting of shareholders, which is expected to be convened late
April / early May 2012"

'300 million listed options (ESIO) exercisable at 2.0¢ on
or before 16 January 2014'

On March 2nd they ECT claim that the patent result should be out in 6 to 8 weeks.

March 2nd + 6 to 8 weeks = late April / early May 2012 as the above meeting time

Looks like that excercisable price / number of shares to be issued may need to be seriously reviewed at that meeting if that patent comes good!!
