I highly doubt PYC intend to go anywhere near clinical trials - "maybe" a Phase I if suiters are taking their time to move on it.
Their intention has always been to pass them off early the new oncology focus is really just to take it that little bit further than discovery and with a specific target as opposed to very general screens at a very early hit / discovery stage with limited data.
They will aim to get it right through pre-clinical with tox, PK etc etc then out-license the drug ready to enter Phase I.
