Thanks Geffa, you are one of the few on HC whom I consider reasonable.

It never ceases to amaze me how ready folk are to transfer their own failings on to someone else. Or to pull down someone who is simply attempting to report it as they see it which is all Russell does.

Russell has eschewed the title of guru vigorously. He specifically acknowledges that the market turns "experts" into monkeys.

Noone knows what will happen on the markets and Russell is the first one to admit that. The value of his reports is that they convey his knowledge and experience of markets accumulated over 50 years of active trading. That experience is worth something. He is the first one to acknowledge when he is wrong. I posted his top out list breakouts yesterday by way of example of this.

It's true that Russell has been a bear for quite a long time but Alpha's comment is a rather cheap shot. If you act on the recommendations of any specific newsletter then you get what you deserve. A trader or investor's decisions should be based on a synthesis of information drawn from multiple sources. The fact that Russell has been bearish hasn't stopped me or the majority of his subscribers from trading at all and that's as it should be.

So please, if you feel you must criticise Russell, do it for a valid reason.
