An interesting article today's West Australian.

Can't find a web link, but copied from "Herd on the Terrace"

It would certainly explain why FRS is so keen to make it happen now. Someone has been promised a "Kingship" and it isn't WR. Makes you wonder whether WN had this lined up at the start when they effectively appointed Lawrenson at FRS in the first place.

Good to know that our first day of "business as usual" has already started with a bang. Wah Nam adding value already :)

"Wah Nam International yesterday thankfully put an end - at least temporarily - to talk of major board and management shake-up at its new subject BRM.

For several weeks now there has been talk around the traps that Cliff Lawrenson, the one-time GRD boss who become FRS CEO this year, just weeks after Wah Nam launched hostile takeover bids for both BRM and FRS was about to be parachuted into the top job at BRM - at the expense of Wayne Richards.

In fact according to several sources, it was talk being spruiked by those close to the FRS camp.

Yesterday's joint announcement by WN and BRM of a truce between suitor and target puts a dampener on the Lawrenson rumours, although it doesn't snuff them out for good.

Lawrenson's not talking while FRS which is still negotiating with Wah Nam in the hope of attracting an improved offer from BRM's new masters, has rubbished the rumours as mere "game playing by other people" ..."
