Hi Graham. Were in the mining act 2010 does it say they shall have to have a government partner for other minerals other than gemstones. Save me time finding it.
Granted "gemstones mining operations" (ML) are supposed to have 50% partner whom are Tanzanian. That I agreed to. Other minerals not so sure other than it is desirable to have JV's or shareholders whom are Tanzanian, not necessary government. Yes there is a push for listing "Special Mining License" (SML) holders onto the Dar bourse. Hasn't happened yet.
The issue waiting on STAMICO is really imo because they are a partner with Richlands over the Merelani assets.
I need to review the act again as haven't read it for a while.
