Anyway things are getting a lot better regarding illegal miners and notice that Meercat posted a report from June 2014 there is another which he/she didnt mention in July which is much more positive.

The price of Tanzanite is increasing due to there being less black market gems available from the illegal miners, they are also recovering more gems per tonne as they get into the better areas formally mined by those illegal miners.

Richland only use a very small part of the production facility so will not require large amounts of capital as Mr Meerkat suggested.

Anyway Richland/Kibaran are working on this project a lot closer than you think Richland have stopped funding schools/villages Kibaran have started (much more than a coincidence don't you think.
