Rick Rule invites people to send him a list of their resource investments and promises to personally review and return an opinion. Only the companies need be identified, you do not give investment figures.
Well, I tried him out and he has delivered. It has taken several months but I respect the fact that he has actually honoured his promise.
He ranks companies from 1 to 10, with 1 being the best.
The following comment accompanies the rankings:
"Please note that rankings and comments provided hereinare not investment recommendations. Specific recommendations are available toSprott clients. These rankings are numerical, 1-10, with 1 being best. Notethat the criterion is risk-adjusted reward, so that higher risk companies maystill enjoy a more favourable ranking than lower risk companies, although theymay be less suitable for individual portfolios. Comments accompany rankingswhere appropriate. Both comments and rankings are “snapshots in time” subjectto rapid and unannounced change based on news or market conditions.
I sent Rick a list of 30 ASX companies from my portfolio.
The highest ranking was 4, and guess what, it included WAF with the comment "great start up"".

Rick also said "Please don't be discouraged if you find my rankings harsh...because they are! I've given out less than a dozen "one" rankings in three decades of analyzing resource stocks."

Other companies that received a 4 were: EVN, AQG (Alacer), BGL, RRL.
In effect, Rick has WAF in the top ranking for ASX gold companies at the present time.
