Mmm, couldn't agree more caviar and champers (just thinking positive!). There are just so many unanswered questions. As usual, there is the raging debate as to what the announcement actually means - like a team of wanna-be Egyptologists trying to decipher the Rosetta Stone, though even that's probably not a great analogy because that probably only had a couple of dozen meanings). One of Warren Buffett's golden rules is to never trust management that keeps making excuses - in his own words, "that's probably a cue for a change of management". Then there's the total reluctance of the directors to put their money where their mouths are, and Mr Sciano, who takes a holiday at the most critical juncture in the company's history. And just one more thing, concerning Rick - exactly what is the company's chief geologist doing in an office in Perth? I could understand if, like Marius Kloppers or Tom Albanese he had to juggle a dozen billion-dollar projects at once, but this is it for us, and he's not at the coalface. The US might have done some dumb things in Iraq and Afghanastan, but I'm pretty sure they never had a general in charge of either field sitting at a desk at the Pentagon! Anyway, I'll shut up now, cause at least the SP is green - ah that takes me back!
