RIG 965
Fabrication of the new build Ensign Rig 965 (ADR 1500) was approximately 80% complete at quarter end. Integrated acceptance testing commenced in Houston mid-April following the arrival of major components from Canada. Final commissioning and acceptance is expected in late May prior to mobilisation to the Cooper Basin in July. The original commissioning and mobilisation date has been delayed by approximately two months due to modifications in the build process, industrial disputes in US and weather delays in Houston. The first well for Ensign Rig 965 is expected to spud in Q3 2012.


ATP 855P (Beach 60%)

The 423 km Gallus 2D survey was ongoing at the end of the reporting period and has subsequently been completed. This data will be used to clarify detail of the structural form of the shale and basin centred gas play that Beach believes is contiguous with PEL 218.
