Hi Bredred, I just did a calculation based on:- current tow location (Lat/Long co-ordinates) to Skua then divided the result by the time since I first noticed they had just left to the time I took the co-ordinates.( roughly 10.5 hrs travel ). Distance travelled was 52 nm /96 km. so speed of 4.95 knots. The distance from Skua to Buffalo was reported by CVN on 2nd Sept announcement as being 300 km. So that's another 204 km/110 nm to go. At average 4.95 knotsI makes it another 22.2 hrs sailing. Note: co-ordinates taken from Marine Traffic using curser on icons, so may not be exact. But close enough. Time of calculation 0800 hrs AWST. Of course, any bad weather, rough seas will slow the tow. Cheers!
