Tunisia is not a country which suffers from tribal divisions in the way that Libya or Syria does. It has a long history as a nation, like Egypt and Morocco.
The word 'tribes' is probably being used in the same way as we use gangs.
Tunisia has a very strong emphasis on education, comparative religious tolerance for the area and GDP growth of 5%+. It is specifically noted as an Arab nation that is not split on tribal lines.
