any oilers take a guess at how long a rig takes to pepare for drilling once on location,,,????????


With Chinguetti-1 it took 3 days. But "Scarabeo-7" is a rusty bomb compared to "Deepwater discoverer" so perhaps it will be done sooner. In ROCs latest activity report, which was issued last week, they said the Ching-2 would spud by the end of July.

Its been a long wait. Last year I stayed up to 2am every night waiting for the daily activity report and when Chinguetti struck oil I couldn't wipe the smile off my face for a week. I think I'll be grinning again in August.
