Its a risky balancing act. Yes the lower it goes the more chance of having the resolutions passed at AGM but then they risk the contributing shares not being taken up and not raising critical capital in time.
Maybe they have people lined up to take the contributing shares and don't care if shareholders take them up. Based on the multiples they are being offered they are not really that attractive to shareholders anyway.
If they have someone lined up to take the contributing shares then why didn't they underwrite them? Without an underwriter, anything could happen to the market between now and then and potentially jeopardise the capital raising. Like I said, I have had enough of their games.
