i work in the Automotive industry - stay away from EV's 1) No charging or very limited points o/s of Metro areas, 2) EV batteries need replacing after 5 - 6 years (don't tell you this when you buy the car) 3) Cost of a new battery appox 25K , 4) EV's lock down when battery runs out (need a techie to open as door as doors linked to power - we have had customers locked IN the car) 5) Two different power plug connections 1 x Asian , 1 x European , bad luck if your plug doesn't go into the roadside charger station. l . My view , watch the servos, don't see them rushing to put in charging stations , maybe one here , one there . Rapid charging stations cost 24K up and look like mini electrical sub-stations ( really looks good on the streetscape) and home based slow chargers mean hours plugged-in . Hydrogen , Servos can convert and install refueling points same as petrol / diesel . As I say , watch the servos.
