how about everyone rings up the one of the big charities and donates all their shares to the charity?
what are the chances of a charity being sued for the cash? imagine the public out cry?
you might even get a tax deduction for donating the shares to tax registered charity, better still transfer to stock to the ATO and let them work it out.
