I think we are about on the same page.
I suspect a few may have acquired a fear of the cattle prod, and now everything looks like a cattle prod.
I am seriously under water on CDU, my fault, but doesn't mean I stop judging day to day events and forget the past. No point mooching about the past, and who said what when. The core themes are:
is progress being made
has the resource changed
has there been any material changes of much substance (e.g. MMG at Dugald suddenly discovering complexities after investing $850M)
The extra money is obviously so CDU can press on with railways and port, and the other entities can tag along later. I suspect previously CDU never thought they could raise enough funds to cover everything, hence invited the others into the JV, But now CDU have the chance to go alone, and have.
You can expect the buy back-in cost for the other JV partners may be different and not 33.3% of cost, especially after its built and basically de-risked.
Like you said, what's odd? Whats hard to figure out?
