For me, the rights issue, really only comes into play, when the share price is above $2.50.
If in the next three weeks the share price can rise above $2.50 then the rights will have a value.
Say the share price was $3.00 then obviously you would snap them up and make 50 cents a share.
Even if coming up with more funds was a problem selling shares at $3.00 to buy back in at $2.50 may be a good strategy, and then pick up the options as well. What this trading may do to the share price , who knows.
Announcements re early sales of DSO/ native copper may improve the share price.
An updated JORG improving the resource estimate may also improve the share price. Although I think most long term holders are very wary on any talk of resource upgrades until we actually see it. (once bitten)
The next three weeks may show a lot of volatility.
