Just out of interest...what sort of broker's fee will you be paying on that transaction?
As it stands, on a 40,000 x $2.49 transaction you are saving yourself $400 gross over you buying direct from IPL at $2.50. But if you are not using an online broker then your advantage will be much less than $400. Another advantage I suppose is that you will be able to starting trading the shares you buy on the open market much quicker than any you buy from the company.
In any case your buying 40,000 shares on the open market for 1 cent less than the offered deal is really going to teach those IPL directors a hard lesson. lol
