Had the same problem. Posted cheque last Tuseday, Registry advised yesterday funds not received so I settled by BPAY yesterday and will await refund. Couldn't take the risk on missing tonight's deadline.
I expect its a registry problem but will never know for sure.
Next week should see an improvement in everybody's fortune as I am sure positive announcements will start to flow.
