Owngoal, if I recall correctly I don't think that those who took up the recent placement were entitled to the entitlement offer on them - someone might want to confirm that.
Anyway I'm happy enought Ted gave existing shareholders the opportunity for picking up an incredible bargain - not all CEOs would do that. The placement to instos made sense to me look at the interest it stirred up. And whatever else, HDR is in the process of making some long term holders filthy rich, so I'm not fussed.
PS I wonder if Alan Burns bought his entitlement... last time I looked he still had his 30 shares after selling out lock-stock and many barrels pre-Ching 1. So after this entitlement issue maybe he owns 35
