If you sell your rights the new owner of those rights will need to pay the 5c to convert those rights to fully paid shares. So 4.5c plus 5c = 9c total outlay and a free oppie.
If the new owner does not convert the rights they have just purchased then the underwriter will take them up (plain stupid if you ask me).
You’ll find the free oppie will convince most share holders to exercise their rights.
