I understand your point, but have a slightly different view.
Of course, we invest into shares because we would like to make money with it.
We are all aware of the sentiments buy, hold and sell.
If my sentiment is "buy", of course I will participate in any capital raise of that company.
If my sentiment is "sell", then I already sold my shares or I'm currently selling them and I won't participate a capital raise.
If my sentiment is "hold", then I still believe in the company, but don't want to add new shares through purchases on the market.
But due to the fact I still believe in the company, I will participate a capital raise, even if I will not directly make money with it.
Because without the fresh money, the company might have issues or be in trouble- and that's the last I wish for a company I'm holding shares of.
Just my point of view and of course no advice.
