If I'm not mistaken, RIKEN are using iPSC stem cells supplied by CiRA, KYOTO UNIVERSITY.
One major issue that I'm finding with their allogeneic stem cells (for future scalability) is that because of immunogenicity issues:
"Their allogeneic cells derived from the IPSC can be used in matched recipients and in a relatively genetically homogenous population such allogeneic cells can be used in a number of patients with a good possibility that there won’t be rejection of the transplant."

So essentially their stem cells are limited in that patients have to be genetically matched, and that even when it is matched, it only has a good possibility that there won't be an immune rejection.
