What is a shareholder @Langleybc?
A shareholder means you are the owner of a company. I'm a shareholder here, I'm the owner of this company. This is MY COMPANY. I would like to see my company succeed. I know HC is full of traders, that's why it doesn't make any sense to a lot of people.
I've told multiple people on these threads to go & see a full-service broker.
Try looking at the MC instead of the SP. The SP will change as more shares get issued. You fail a basic understanding of the stock market. If RIL doubles the amount of SOI tomorrow, the SP would be cut in half within days, to reside back at the same MC it is now. Retail focus on SP and investors focus on MC. That's how you spot value on the ASX, by looking at the MC. Looking at how much the company is worth, not at how high the SP is.
The SP has dropped from 2001 to now because the amount of shares being issued increased as the years went on. The MC probably stayed the same.
Right now RIL is a $10M company, probably worth just as much in 2001. Just ask yourself if this will be a $10M company if they start recycling batteries in Europe.
