Well said, we're in a different world than two years ago when the JV with CM was announced. NMT was cashed up I was expecting projects to get off the ground there & to be able to fund something here.
Macro & interest rates hinder investment in the speculative market, the stock market in general. The market isn't numbers on a screen, it's people buying & selling stock. When the cost of living hits the first thing that pops into people's minds isn't "Geez I should buy a battery recycling company" they're thinking, how do I pay the rent, food or mortgage this week. Hence, the buying pressure disappears & the selling pressure increases. The end result is a lot of speculative stocks on the ASX have tumbled to all time lows, not just RIL.
