This is probably the closest we have come to agreeing on something, but it’s not quite the whole story. You make it sound like RIM somehow sleepwalked into relations with a convicted fraudster, but Billis and he were close friends (best man at wedding etc). The court also found absolutely nothing wrong with RIMs conduct in their lengthy document. All available on the internet, albeit requires some digging.

There are endless discussions on this board about the ins and outs, but thankfully it’s quiet now. The issue most shareholders have is not about ownership per se (one way there is was cash, the other way complete control), but the way RIM seemed to be collateral damage in something that was ultimately within GPR. The uncertainty that this unrestricted lawfare caused was to inject uncertainty and stall price momentum.
