Charging overnight "cleanly" won't be a problem when we all have either:
A) our own solar and battery storage setup
B) connection to our neighbour's version of (A)
C) connection to a local/micro grid version of (A)
When it's cheaper than paying the electricity bills, it will happen. That time is coming; not quite here for us yet, but well on the way.
The EV will also be a "mobile" home storage system - connected to the house to provide additional capacity when home... And when you're "out all day" for instance at work (!), why not charge it there at minimal cost via their solar and battery storage system, if you need a refill?!
Times are changing rapidly and it's damn exciting imo!
I'd better get a move on wih a solar system to charge my Roadster!!
