Kacy, there is much in what you say.

But the Nam govt is signed up to the NNP (Nuclear Non Prolif) treaty and says that all uranium exports are subject to IAEA safguards.I don't think this is bullshit because the Namibia Chamber of Mines has a uranium stewardship committee headed by former Rossing gm Mike Leech who is completely honest and I doubt very much would
cover up anything like illicit exports to Iran.

Both Nam govt and Rossing have always denied sale of any Rossing uranium to Iran- this was an issue two years ago when the US got anxious about that possibility. I have several statements by Rio/Rossing which say Iran is only a shareholder still for the dividends and the shareholding provides no offtake rights.

Of course we need to remember that Rossing started off in 1976 and Namibia only became independent in 1990- so it is possible Rossing sold uranium to Iran pre-1990 when there were no safeguards as Namibia was under SAfrican control which ignored the NNPT as Pretoria was looking at enriching uranium and developing atomic weapons under apartheid.
