"Rio Tinto in Talks to Buy Riversdale Mining, Telegraph Says

Rio Tinto Plc is in talks to buy Riversdale Mining Ltd. for about A$15 a share, the Daily Telegraph in the U.K. reported. Any deal to buy Australia-listed Riversdale, which has coal-mining projects in Africa, isn?t certain to be completed, the newspaper said, citing people familiar with the matter."

Where does this place RTL with them holding adjacent leases to RIV!!!!

WINNER every way I look at it! (Obviously they need to get the coal rights!!)

The restructure has put off a lot of buyers & traders, but those willing to look beyond are going to be very well rewarded IMO.

I now wish I had bought more before RTL halted for the restructure ... I just didnt like the idea of too much cash tied up till mid-January. But I still have quite a few under 3 HINS, and will take up ALL of my allotment. Really looking forward to the re-listing now!!
