There could be 3 reasons why they might mothball Hismelt.
They are contracting operations like many businesses worldwide ( which would seem strange if it is a very profitable operation), They are laying off employees and this is an area that they feel is not in their core interest, OR they now see how much can be made with APG's technology and are just waiting for the negotiations to which MT referred indirectly ( 6 Companies he was negotiating with.)
Just my observations.
