The arguments the author uses to link Allkem to Rio are so weak that maybe their is some other information (not mentioned) that motivated them to write the article in the first place.

AKE mines lithium and is in SA, therefore Rio will is interested….hmm? They coulda mentioned brine production expertise that likely played a part in the GXY ORE merger but they didnt.
