As I’ve said several times, the transition is occurring naturally, without the big hand of government needing to step in and force the issue. Just look at what this tread is about….a classic example of companies leading the transition. It’s the same with the other big emitters - vehicles. They are all made overseas, EVs (albeit heavily incentivised) are slowly increasing market share, whilst ICE engines globally, either petrol or diesel, are becoming ever more efficient. Plenty of rooftop solar too.
Even a new generation HELE coal plant is less emissions intensive than the fleet we currently have is an improvement.
Totally agree that we need incremental change, not full on ridiculous targets that only hurt ourselves in the end.
