The Big miners do like their Long life, Low cost assets and PLS fits the bill nicely in this regard.
I always thought that South32 would have been a better fit given the overall size of the deposit relative to its existing asset base. For BHP and RIO, despite our optimism, PLS wouldn't move the dial for them.
If only South32 had cash and a balance sheet to make the acquisition......
