Did watch that Inside Business program and was surprised that although there was considerable discussion of RIO's Pilbara project there was no mention of their potential Russian neighbour. Surely this would've been worth raising by Alan Kohler. I would not be surprised if Alan was told that if this was going to be a question, then there would be no interview. If RIO were not interested in taking over FMS then there would be no reason for Tom Albanese not to discuss the neighbouring development but if RIO are considering a takeover of FMS then there is good reason for Tom not to discuss it.
If FMS were not undergoing a takeover then there would be no need to discuss it but having a foreigner coming in as a competitor then surely it would be worth a question from Alan.
I am such an optomist....
