Received my call from RIO on Monday. In light of no other offer, have sent in my acceptance form and concede that 16.5 is the best bid we will get. RIO still has 2 options: either they reach 50% and declare the offer open or they walk, eg. I either get 16.5 per share or my shares back and take a possible short term paper loss.

I will have made a tidy profit if RIO is successful but still feel I have been taken to the cleaners.

When and if I get paid for my holdings its all going back in another coal show. Any suggestions on the next RIV, any green field coal shows which are proving up massive deposits of high quality coal.... RIV will be a hard act to follow.
