I disagree. Home storage would merely be a rounding error in worldwide production in terms of GWh. Grid storage and cheaper EV's with LFP batteries in the US and EU is where the growth will be.
Let's take an extreme bull case and say all 11 million houses and units in Australia each have battery storage at 13.5kWh. That's a total of around 150GWh.
The biggest grid storage project in Australia is just over 2GWh. You'll need 75 of these projects to eclipse home storage, and that's your extreme bull case. So you may only need 30 grid storage projects (assume some get bigger up to 3 or 4GWh) to eclipse all home storage in residential dwellings in a realistic case.
