NordicInformer: It is clear that you have a determined viewpoint on environmental issues and naturally, in this time that we live in, this is fully respected and certainly valid. I have had the privilege to visit Lapland and fully understand the pride that the local population have for their land (apart from selling out to Santa Claus tourism projects....!).

Let us not forget that KRM is led by a young Managing Director, who appears to be very aware of modern day environmental issues and the KRM projects themselves, are at a progressive early phase. I would suggest that it appears premature to make negative judgements so early on.

Just as you have inferred for KRM to engage in dialogue with stakeholders and to understand all elements of a project within this locality, this should be a two-way process........

Maybe prior to throwing negative connotations and accusations around, you should try to remain objective and be intellectually honest prior to reaching any negative conclusions. Maybe even reach out to KRM directly, gently mention your concerns and ask for information to understand their approach and how they plan to progress with any project, respecting the local environment and engaging the local population.

The mining industry has a dark history, we all know this. However in this day and age, there is no hiding and stringent environmental protections continue to be put in place to ensure the mistakes of the past are not repeated.
