Rio Tinto plc Scraps Deal With Chinalco-DJ

Dow Jones reported that Rio Tinto plc has walked away from a $19.5 billion deal with Aluminium Corp. of China, people familiar with the matter said. The proposed deal would have given state-owned Aluminium Corp., known as Chinalco, an 18% stake in Rio Tinto.
