Where would it come from?
My honest opinion, this is a no go.
Iron ore can already be reduced then fed into an electric arc furnace to produce steel without coal. Natural gas is used instead to produce the hydrogen needed. If this hydrogen was produced from renewable energy it would be almost carbon free, except for the carbon that the steel needs.
But this method will be expensive.
