Demand for product in the region needs to be there.
I know there will be a lot of stimulus money floating around. We need to know what projects will require aluminium, what the quantities may be and how Australia's mooted shift to gas (with pipelines) could impact the production cost numbers.
Smelters need cheap power. Would smelters closer to the major gas fields be an option?
