"f Rio Tinto Chief Executive, Jean-Sébastien Jacques, really believes that greenhouse gasses are imperilling the planet and that we are in a 'climate emergency' then why does he not propose reducing their carbon footprint to zero immediately? It cannot be much of a crisis if Rio can wait thirty years to reach net zero greenhouse gas emissions. It does, of course, represent nothing more than embarrassing virtue signalling. It is simply vanity, dressed up as selfless conviction.'
