Yeah the thread is crap1 Rio are hardly likely to say, "we are going to spend 3.4 billion on development and by the way we are going to spend 0.7 billion on acquiring FMS." A marketing exec might tell the world what they are going to do before they do it, but those seeking to buy in a competitive market don't.
On another level we can see that the proportion that might be spent on acquiring FMS is significantly smaller than the expansion plans.
And the amount is small change compared to what Rio has spent on Hathor this year and what they will spend on Oyu Tolgoi.
On a positive note the research is better than that done by my dead grandmother.
