Hi billy I nearly thought you were going to be kind re my post lol.
The woomera riots occurred a number of years into Howards reign, and yes by the time eleven years were up the numbers had markedly dropped off. Of course it is disputed whether it was push factors or Howards hard line policies that had that impact. I suspect it was a combination of both.

My point though is that riots have occurred under both governments/
