Congratulations to 'A Current Affair' for giving a comprehensive report ( last night) without any sign of bias either way, re the Cronulla Beach episode.

Racism is certainly not the issue here, as it is crystal clear to most Australians' that the problem is the pathetic state of our legal system, and the apparent soft attitudes of those that are meant to enforce it. Australians' at large are sick of the daily crime, loss of life, possessions and carnage, where the law is seemingly not applied as to it's intended meanings by the courts, and the police seem powerless to put the bad people away as a result.
We apparently now live in an age beyond reason where its acceptable to king-hit someone, cause their death by them hitting their head on the way down, and be found not even responsible for manslaughter, let alone murder. An age where two or three volunteer lifesavers are bashed on Cronulla Beach by around twenty thugs of middle eastern descent in broad daylight, yet the police can make no charges. An age where the police advise us to call them only after a crime has been committed, and not before. And so on, and so on ............... it just goes on and on every day!
An age where nothing makes moral sense anymore, let alone legal sense. In the words of one Australian great, John Farnham singing 'Your the Voice', the time has come where Australians' have just had enough, and refuse to continue to live in fear. And for the record, it is painfully obvious when reading news reports, or listening to the news, the vast majority of crimes where an offender is caught, that do get to court, and sometimes even prison, are committed by people with non-Australian sounding names. This is not a racist assumption, but an all too true fact.
So put quite simply, if the government and the courts are not seen to apply the law fully to ALL, as has been the case for over a decade, there will always be rebellion from mainstream Australians. If the police are powerless to stop the rampant crime happening every day across Australia, because the current law and legal system poses no real hardship or threat to the offenders, then what do you honestly expect. Australia has had to fight for everything it has achieved on the world stage, and as a nation we have had to put up with racism in reverse, on our own soil for years now, both from our own indigenous Australians, as well as first, second and third generation migrants who still have an axe to grind and a score to settle, and who basically have a "Can't touch me" attitude and demeanour. Don't blame mainstream Australians for standing up, and saying "We're not going to be frightened in our own country anymore!"
If the law-makers were doing their job with conviction, the legal system would be working, but their not, so it's not! And that creates hostility from normal, everyday people, and that inevitably leads to 'vigilante' attitudes and actions. You can't go calling repressed people like this 'neo-nazi's', simply because you feel they have revolted and wronged society. They represent what society is feeling to a large degree, and they simply have the passion and conviction to take it one step further, and hence draw a line in the sand, as seen at Cronulla Beach. The blame lies squarely with the politicians, law makers, courts and lobbyists who have allowed society to denigrate to this standard of apparent lawlessness and unrest over many, many years. As a direct result, our police forces' have seen to become re-active, rather than pro-active, and the unsolved crime that goes on daily is like a fast growing cancer on our society. Aside from this type of protest, all we can do is to use our vote wisely at the next election, and get promises in writing, for the Australia we want to live in - not the Australia we are forced to have!
