I'm not sure i'm just noting all the predictable responses from all the extreme anti-islam groups on the back of a landslide victory for the mayor through vote of the population.
I really don't know much about this guy but I have read a lot of good sounding things over the last hour or two & he has been electable by the people of London.
On the above I would note the source you have quoted "Daily Mail" has always been a pretty disputable source with plenty of controversy over everything from science to medicine to race to religion to refugees etc etc of course they are going to print along the lines as you have above. Also not sure how relevant a flag of the shahada really is to a speech years ago ('08 & '012) given that it has been symbolic in islam for a long time and long before it was somewhat hijacked by extremist groups and ISIS shouted its name in 2014 ? - I wouldn't say just because it is flying it means it supports extremism.
