If the Sydney CBD wasn't enough of a ghost town already it certainly is set to become one now.

Too bad for international tourists coming to check out the nightlife of this "vibrant" city. Too bad for those who want to watch the World Cup, European Cup Finals, Autumn Rugby internationals with some mates in a pub. Too bad for the 99.9% of people who like to go out an enjoy Sydney's nightlife and never cause any problems.

The latest two people who died from king hits were struck at 9pm and 10:30pm respectively. It is the action of 0.1% who are basically thugs out looking for trouble. It is has very little to do with alcohol, Australia has always had a drinking culture so nothing has changed in that regard since the first fleet.

The answer should be to get tough on thugs who cause these assaults and bashings, regardless of alcohol, give them the tough and long sentences they deserve. Don't punish the 99.9% of people who just want to enjoy a decent night out.
