It's not about being Islamic any more than it's about bring Christian. Islamist does not equal Islamic. One is a death cult, the other is a religion of peace. All Islamists are Islamic, but few Islamic people are Islamists. Jihadists might be a better term to make the distinction. Islamic society should be encouraged to fight the scourge of Jihadi Islamist fanatics. There should be complete tolerance of peaceful religion (as dumb and anachronistic as religion is IMO, might as well pray to the Greek and Roman Gods...but that's another story) and zero tolerance of anyone who perverts it for evil.
