    hi jaysee,

    i think you're pretty much right regarding the shorting potential of BHP atm, particularly given the possibility of a shallow flat wave 4 or, even worse, a triangle.

    it should be viable to get in and squeeze some profit out of it if the cap of $10.37 holds true, in which case the target range of $10.05 - $9.72 (from memory) should prompt a quick exit. if a triangle, then breakeven should still be within reach.

    if BHP decides to extend wave 3(v) above $10.37, i'll tend to lose interest in it for the time being...

    as you say, Wave 5 up should be just around the corner... and then Wave II down...
