I find the whole concept of ripples xrp to be questionable. They are trying to sell a payments system to the banks. I don't know quite a currency is required for that.
They also hold something like 66% of the unreleased xrps.
People think they're buying into ripple but xrp is not a share in the company. It is a transaction cost
